On Saturday. June 11, the last luncheon for Rotary District 4150 was held in the beautiful old city of Tepatitlán de Morelos in the Los Altos de Jalisco highlands, about 70 km east of Guadalajara.

It’s famous for its Baroque-style parish church in the centre of the city dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi. The nickname of the city is "Tepa”, and it’s a major producer of eggs, milk, pork and tequila.

The Chapala Sunrise Rotary Club was well-represented at the Luncheon, and received an award for its progressive contribution to the community in our second year. Our group visited the city’s commercial area and San Francisco de Asís Church.

At the Luncheon, the District honored of all its clubs and celebrated the Governor Antonio Carrillo´s birthday with a mariachi band!

The newly-created (and larger) Rotary District 4140 will take over the region soon.
