Fernando Ramos Gourcy, our District 4140 Governor, visits our Projects.

Excerpt from the Governor's Facebook Post:
ACTION PEOPLE
The Chapala Sunrise Rotary Club shows us that being Action People means transforming solidarity into opportunities and service into hope. Two of their projects reflect this commitment to their community in an extraordinary way.
In La Cuesta/Mezcala, the Club works to rehabilitate, equip, and reopen a clinic that will bring health services closer to indigenous and rural communities along the shores of Lake Chapala. A project that seeks to offer dignified medical care, strengthen prevention, and provide hope to families in need of better opportunities to care for their health.
At the same time, at C.A.M. No. 29 “The Blue School”, Chapala Sunrise promotes the construction and equipment of a kitchen for a school that serves 91 students with special needs. It will not be just a place to prepare food; it will also be a learning space where young people can develop life skills, strengthen their autonomy, and prepare for a future with greater opportunities.
These projects remind us of the essence of Rotary: seeing a need and deciding to act. When our knowledge, resources, and hearts come together to serve others, we not only build clinics or kitchens; we build dignity, independence, opportunities, and hope.
Congratulations to the Chapala Sunrise Rotary Club! Their work inspires us and confirms that when Rotarians become truly Action People, we can transform communities and generate a lasting impact.
