2016 International Women's Week Celebration in Lakeside
Sunday, March 6, 2016 will mark the beginning of the 38th annual world-wide celebration of the International Women’s Day, bringing attention to women’s issues, health, freedom, rights and contributions to their communities across the globe.
As part of Rotary International, the Chapala Sunrise Rotary Club will present a week-long series of special events in the Chapala-Ajijic area from March 6 to March 12, each celebrating a different aspect of women’s lives here in México and around the world. All of these events are open to the public, and we anticipate large audiences for each of them, drawn from the Lakeside (Chapala and Ajijic) area, Guadalajara and beyond. In addition these events will draw considerable media attention (regional TV, radio, newspapers) and social media conversations.
