July 7 CSRC Meeting Opens with Flag Ceremony and President’s Vision

To open the July 7 weekly CSRC meeting in Chapala there was a special Presentation of the Flag ceremony performed by students of the Octavio Paz School, led by Carla Loridans.

CSRC President Walter Thornton Jr. gave a talk about his vision for 2016-17. The Board will be working with you and for you, and he wants to make this a fun year. He and the Board will make sure that all projects go through the proper procedures. Fellowship, integrity, leadership, oversight, diversity, and service will be our motivators and goals. Our mission is service. We will seek global understanding of social issues and in our areas of focus. Each Committee will have its own budget. Teamwork is essential and we will build on this theme.

The President then presented the new Board to the membership: President-Elect Bill Wilson; Treasurer Dwayne Hartup; Secretary Beverly Denton; Projects Chairman John Gonzales; Club Administrator Sandra Loridans; Public Relations Chairman Bob Atkinson; Rotary Foundation Juan Marques; New Generations Chairman Alexi Sigala.
