Over the past 55 years, he has helped individuals and businesses around the world flourish by applying clinical, developmental, and neuro-psychology, brainwave optimization, meditation, and prayer as a psychologist and professor. While professionally credentialed, he has lived and practiced in the United States, Australia, South-east Asia, and Ecuador. He now resides in Ajijic. Please join us on Sunday, August 4th for a trip to Sahuayo, Michoacan. This will be the first of many cultural and fun activities this Rotary year. The town of Sahuayo is putting on its annual event to celebrate their patron saint. There will be a parade in which we will watch amazing costumes and masks, many of them floral, as they celebrate this holiday. Oscar will provide snacks and drinks and arrange dinner for us at a nearby restaurant. Cost per personMX $1,200.00 (not included Dinner) RSVP ASAP Payment must be made by July 25th to Sandra Zamora. We will have time after the parade to walk around the village, to shop, or to sit and people watch... it will be your choice. Oscar will rent an adequate number of Vans to take us on the 1.45 hr trip and back/ SCHEDULE: 10:00 am - depart from Soriana in Chapala 11:45 am - arrive in Sahuayo, visit the plpaza 3:00 pm - Parade starts 5:00 pm - To the Restaurant for Comida

Amanda has been living Lakeside for 2 and a half years and is involved with the theatre since the week she arrived. Last season she took on the role of volunteer coordinator and this year she also joined the board of directors
Amanda will talk about the upcoming season of Lakeside Little Theatre. She will also offer volunteer opportunities and special events we host. This is the 60th season of the oldest english speaking theatre in Mexico

Michael Reason has been widely praised for his imaginative programming and dynamic presentations. His versatility as aconductor, arranger and communicator has garnered critical acclaim both at home and abroad. Originally from England, where he studied conducting with Maurice Miles at the Royal Academy of Music, piano with Georgina Zellan Smith and earned a B. Mus. Ed. from Kingston University, Michael has had a highly successful career as an enterprising and entrepreneurial conductor. After a decade of working in professional music theatre in England Michael was appointed Music Director of the Prince George Symphony Orchestra, B.C. in the early 1990’s which was followed by a 3-year tenure as Artistic Director of the Niagara Symphony Orchestra. In 1997 he was appointed Principal Pops Conductor with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and in March 2001 he was appointed the orchestra’s Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, a position he held until June 2006. He was invited to form the Lake Chapala Orchestra in 2018 and remains it’s artistic director to the present day. https://lakechapalaorch.com/members |

Our primary speaker will be Dra. Ema Sotelo. Dra Ema is a kidney donor and will talk about her experience. I will bring Filipe Vega Ramos who was the first transplant patient under our Rotary “Jalisco Kidney Transplant Program”. His transplant was July 9, 2024. Accompanying him will be Luis Eduardo Baltazar Morales. Luis received his kidney transplant February 19 , 2019 from his father, Ramon. Luis, along with Mike Jones, is in contact with all of our past and future potential transplant candidates. |
