Alvaro Becerra Sanchez, who is an Attorney at law will address our members and guests about Immigration.

Alvaro graduated from law school of University of Guadalajara, SRE branch Jalisco, naturalization from 2000-2006, independent legal practice from 2006 till today, masters of human rights and peace ITESO, Jesuit University of Guadalajara

Nutritionist Rosario Bedoya will be speaking about stem cells and other health services.

There is no schedule meeting today. Instead there is PICA Amoeba testing in San Pedro. (Whatever that means)

Our primary speaker will be Dra. Ema Sotelo. Dra Ema is a kidney donor and will talk about her experience. I will bring Filipe Vega Ramos who was the first transplant patient under our Rotary “Jalisco Kidney Transplant Program”. His transplant was July 9, 2024. Accompanying him will be Luis Eduardo Baltazar Morales. Luis received his kidney transplant February 19 , 2019 from his father, Ramon. Luis, along with Mike Jones, is in contact with all of our past and future potential transplant candidates.

Our speaker today is Rex Gale.

Rex is a certified speaker and personal development coach. He retired from a career in management consulting and human resources, and currently is the founder and organizer of TEDxAjijic, a locally-organized TED event operating under a license granted by TED, He previously was the organizer of TEDxHiltonHead.

Rex's talk will share some insight about TED events, TEDx events, and our plans for TEDx Ajijic, to be held on March 22, 2025 at the Cultural and Arts Center of the Riberas (CCAR)

In honour of American ThanksGiving Day there will be NO meeting today, so our Family and friends can enjoy the day together with Turkey

Dale Knight has been a Rotarian for 27 year and is a member of the Ajijic Club, where she is currently the Rotary Foundation Chair. She is a Past President of the RC of  Guadalajara Alamo,

She was previously in D5130 California, where she served as club president, District Grants Chair, District Foundation Chair, International Service Chair.

Dale's topic today will be Polio.

Bill and Barb Wilson are pleased to invite Club members and guests to the Annual CSRC party.  This year, we are hosting it at our home in Condominios Los Arroyos Norte, Int 20 , December 11 from 5-7:30 PM.   Barb and Bill’s home is in West Ajijic just past the pantheon and the Tuesday organic market.   Directions to follow closer to the date.

After her husband's diagnosis in 2015, Elly Contreras dedicated herself to understanding dementia and supporting others on this challenging journey. 
Upon relocating to Lake Chapala, Elly noticed a lack of resources and support for those grappling with dementia. Fueled by her studies at the Wicking University of Tasmania in "Understanding Dementia" and "Preventing Dementia," Elly is on a mission to raise awareness and create supportive communities.
Elly's training now empowers her to facilitate discussion groups for individuals with early-onset dementia and Mild Cognitive Impairment (MID) — giving them a voice and working tirelessly to dismantle the stigma surrounding the disease.

She will also talk about the importance of documenting our lives and WHY it is key to get your stories written down and your photographs printed, particularly in this digital age!
