DESCRIPTION:After her husband's diagnosis in 2015\, Elly Contreras dedicate
 d herself to understanding dementia and supporting others on this challeng
 ing journey.    Upon relocating to Lake Chapala\, Elly noticed a lack of 
 resources and support for those grappling with dementia. Fueled by her stu
 dies at the Wicking University of Tasmania in "Understanding Dementia" and
  "Preventing Dementia\," Elly is on a mission to raise awareness and creat
 e supportive communities.   Elly's training now empowers her to facilitate
  discussion groups for individuals with early-onset dementia and Mild Cogn
 itive Impairment (MID) — giving them a voice and working tirelessly to d
 ismantle the stigma surrounding the disease.   Elly is a Rotary Past Distr
